So I ran my first 5k today...
It was a run for Ovarian Cancer Research. c:
My friend Emily was running it for her grandmother, who has Ovarian Cancer. Emily asked me to run it with her, so I did.
I hadn't really trained except for a triathlon that I ran last weekend, but I actually did pretty okay. I kept up with Em, who's a super athlete, up until the last quarter mile.
AND THEN I FUCKING PUKED.
GOD DAMMIT.
Well, it was more like bile/spit, but after like 30 seconds I was sprinting to the finish. A couple people had passed me while I was puking, thank god Em kept running. She got first for our age group. I would've gotten second, had I NOT FUCKING THROWN UP. But I got like 3rd or 4th and went like a 23:22 (I think...) at a 7:23 pace. Yey. c:
And then I came home and napped for 3 hours.
